Maximizing Workout Efficiency: The Essential ‘Wiggly’ Exercise Equipment I Swear By

I just finished writing this after packing for an upcoming business trip to New Jersey and I have one piece of exercise equipment that I pack on EVERY trip.

BECAUSE

This equipment is the most versatile, inexpensive, and space-saving item ever created.

Also, when I work with clients and patients at Form & Fitness, expensive exercise equipment surrounds us, some costing over $10,000. I still incorporate this item in almost every program I create. 

It is the humble FLAT BAND.

The flat band, for those of you who are unfamiliar, is like a giant rubber band, and it comes in several different strengths or thicknesses.

It has some unique properties that make it something YOU SHOULD ADD to your exercise routines, too!

  1. It allows you to stretch and create mobility at your joints in a way no other equipment can duplicate.
  2. It will enable you to reduce or increase the effects of gravity, momentum, and ground reaction forces on your body. Think… Make your exercises harder or easier.
  3. It allows you to create traction at your joints to help you move better.
  4. It is also one of the best strength training tools around.

In the first 10 minutes, we discuss the unique properties of bands, and in the last 10 minutes or so, we demo all four items listed above.
